MYSA Philosophy

The principal objective of MYSA is to provide the opportunity for Marblehead children to learn and enjoy the game of soccer. A fundamental requirement therefore is that the children have fun. This means that all who wish to may participate and primary emphasis is placed on the basic skills of the sport and participating in games. The philosophy of winning at all costs has no place in our program.

Playing soccer in the MYSA program should be a positive experience for all participants. However, mere participation does not guarantee a positive experience; just how beneficial it can be depends to a large extent on our coaches. The quality of our coaching is therefore the most important factor in our continued success.
